(ATLANTA, April 9, 2025) – Kroger’s Atlanta division and members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1996 in Atlanta and Savannah ratified new labor agreements on March 25 and March 26.
The Kroger Atlanta division is investing in new wage increases across four years in the agreement with its Atlanta and Savannah associates while keeping groceries affordable. The new agreement also provides affordable and comprehensive healthcare and pension benefits for the associates and their families.
“The new agreement comes after thoughtful and productive work by both the company and the union bargaining committees. I want to thank our associates for voting to ratify the agreement,” said Victor Smith, President of the Kroger Atlanta division. “Our associates are a team committed to our purpose to Feed the Human Spirit™ and Kroger is committed to investing in their talent development. The UFCW Local 1996 agreements cover over 21,000 associates working at 168 stores in greater Atlanta and Savannah.
